Ghana League: I don’t know much about Young Apostles – Legon Cities Coach Fabin
Legon Cities head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has admitted that he does not know much about this weekend’s opponents in the Ghana Premier League, Young Apostles.
The Royals will host the newly promoted side on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in the ninth round of the league campaign.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Paa Kwesi Fabin acknowledged his lack of information about the Wenchi-based club but expressed confidence in preparing his team adequately for the clash.
“[I don’t know] much [about Young Apostles], but I think they are very good side. So we have to really work hard to be able to secure some points,” the experienced trainer told Legon Cities media.
Ahead of the match, Legon Cities finally won their first game of the season, beating Asante Kotoko 2-1 in a thrilling encounter.
Prior to that victory, they had collected only two points from seven games and were at the bottom of the league until their win over the Porcupine Warriors moved them up to second from bottom with five points.
Addressing the club’s fans, Fabin said, “They should always come to the stadium and fill the stands and cheer us up because when we saw them, they encouraged us.
“They gave us a lot of encouragement. We thank them very much.”
