Inter Milan, Chelsea games perfect opportunity to turn things around – Arsenal’s Thomas Partey

Ghana star Thomas Partey believes Arsenal’s upcoming matches against Inter Milan and Chelsea present the best opportunity to turn things around.

The Gunners suffered a 1-0 loss at St. James’ Park in round ten of the Premier League, marking their second defeat in three matches. Swedish striker Alexander Isak scored the only goal 12 minutes into the game, as Arsenal’s efforts to fight back proved futile.

The defeat means Mikel Arteta’s side has slumped to fifth in the Premier League with 18 points.

The Gunners will take on Inter Milan away in Italy on Wednesday in the Champions League, followed by a trip to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday before the international break.

Speaking after the defeat to Newcastle, Partey emphasized the need for Arsenal to do their best against these two tough opponents.

“I would say it’s a difficult place to play. They have a lot of quality players. We did our best to try to turn things around; unfortunately, we could not,” he said.

“I think it’s the best moment to turn things around, to show that we are not just any team—we are Arsenal—and we can do everything possible that is expected of us.”
